Everforth Quinnox future-proofs key applications, enhancing operational efficiencies leading to revenue growth

Disruptive Technology

Client overview

A privately held U.S. software company that specializes in enterprise software ranging from enterprise resource planning to supply chain management. Additionally, the customer also provides track and trace and serialization solutions for supply chain safety and security.

Business need

Client’s asset management application was built on ‘a’ legacy platform, which resulted in a delay in releasing new features and security updates to the application for consumers. The combination of a legacy app infrastructure with the UI built on a custom MVC framework that lacked a proper view model that had multiple issues / bugs which were difficult to resolve, led to poor application performance and maintainability. Hence, our client decided to migrate their on premise solution to Cloud, leveraging DevOps to allow seamless code build and deployment. Everforth Quinnox was approached to customize the application without changing the core functionalities of the application and help the client implement Air Liquid Application Management (ALAM).

Solution

Our strong IT service capabilities, years of technology, industry and domain experience encouraged the client to partner with Everforth Quinnox on this key endeavour. Quinnox’s team of certified MS Azure developers and architects conducted a detailed analysis of the product and the platform, and understood the limitations in the legacy platform. Based on the analysis, Everforth Quinnox built a reference architecture and a roadmap for their next generation product with enhanced user experience and improved scalability. The team followed agile development methodology leveraging Cloud disruptive technology (PaaS and IaaS) and added new features to the product using API strategy and microservices that highlighted benefits such as faster go to market, performance improvement, enhanced user experience, scalability and cost savings. Everforth Quinnox also utilized Everforth Quinnox Test Automation Framework (QTAF) for automated regression testing, which resulted in reducing the time taken for each test cycle. Everforth Quinnox implemented appropriate QA practices and Continuous Integration and Deployment (CICD) resulting in Faster Mean Time to Resolution and faster release rates of new feature.

Benefits

  • Our solution not only reduced the product go-to market timelines, but also led to revenue growth by helping our client win new customers.
  • Savings of approximately $95,000 YoY and 30% effort reduction due to the implementation of QTAF.
  • Savings of $100,000 per annum owing to the reduction in infrastructure, maintenance and support costs.
