The Right Prescription

Using our solution templates, this pharmaceuticals giant achieved a global rollout of its SAP / R3 ERP system. Reusable components were used extensively in conceiving, developing and delivering the solution successfully within the stipulated period of nine months.

The ERP solution we deployed for our customer, a global pharmaceutical giant, not only met their expectations, but also the ASAP implementation methodology we adopted, dramatically cut costs and improved time-to-market.

This methodology included setting up the configuration policies and standards as well as setting up plans for development in an integrated manner. Besides these, came a host of value-added services, like:

  • Development of functional specification for the programming interface.
  • Design of the Asset Management system to manage fixed assets.
  • Supervision and training of end users and core users as well as the SAP R/3 Security Administrators.
The customer has already achieved vastly improved performances in inventory terms and by replacing various outdated applications, the solution has considerably reduced IT-support costs.

The Quinnox team that handled the entire project was also present during the implementation of SAP R / 3 and provided the expertise for creating solution templates, which were the critical success factors in the global rollout of the solution.

Reviving Profitability with ERP

Using our ERP expertise, a leading automobile manufacturer successfully implemented SAP R/3 and turned in profits. Future growth was kept in mind while designing this solution for our customer. A special data-cleaning tool was also developed to ensure that error-free data was loaded into the R/3 system.

Our customer, a leading automobile manufacturer with global operations, was implementing a 'Revival Plan' to return to profitability. It included an IT initiative to streamline and optimize the company's Purchase and Procurement processes. Our expertise in SAP R/3 was called upon to drive this initiative.

The task at hand was twofold:

  • To develop interfaces with the legacy systems for other business processes like Inventory Management, Finance, etc.
  • To move the customer's purchasing processes from numerous disparate legacy systems to SAP R/3
The solution developed by our team consisted of SAP R/3 version 4.0B Materials Management Module and included specific methodologies for handling the legacy data. Our solutions team was involved in the configuration of R/3, the design, development, testing and implementation of interfaces and the data conversion program.

The linguistic skills of our R/3 experts were also tested as they led a team of French and Japanese consultants and deployed the solution within schedule, driving the customer to profitability within the first year of implementation.

Turning Failure into Success

Using our expertise in implementing ERP solutions, a large manufacturing company was able to salvage its failed Oracle APPS implementation. Turning around a failed ERP implementation was the project's objective.

Our customer for this project was a leading manufacturer of web offset printing press systems with a global clientele. This company initiated the implementation of ERP solutions with Oracle Applications in order to improve the efficiency of operations in its manufacturing plant. This project soon came to a standstill due to the lack of experienced consultants and cost overrun. It was at this stage that the company selected Quinnox to salvage the project and ensure a successful implementation.

Once revitalized, this project immediately challenged the Quinnox project team with the following objectives:

 Having understood the customer's requirements, our project team began a thorough analysis of the customer's manufacturing and financial business processes, subsequently mapping them to an Oracle Application.

The solution that emerged from this consisted of analysis of procedures and structures, design and development of required interfaces and Business Intelligence reports and setting up Oracle MS/MRP, BOM, Engineering and WIP functions. Oracle's AIM methodology was used to complete the implementation.

Quinnox's expertise in technical and financial domains benefited the project greatly and enabled the customer to complete the implementation within time and cost savings.
